TL;DR

I specialize in working with LGTBQIA+ individuals and couples who are struggling with trauma/PTSD, grief, attachment wounds, and body image. I fuse a “relationship approach” with somatic healing such as EMDR, IFS, and EFT therapies.

About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Professional School Counselor in North Carolina. I am certified in play therapy and have previously worked in both residential and school environments before transitioning to private practice. My focus areas include supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, addressing trauma/PTSD, managing grief, attachment wounds, and navigating body image concerns.

Therapy can seem so scary and overwhelming. As we navigate through a world where growth and transformation seem like constant expectations, it can often feel like we are expected to evolve without truly understanding ourselves first. In my work with clients, I hold the belief that each person is the expert of their own life and able to heal themselves, sometimes we just need guidance. If someone is grappling with connecting to their inner voice, I support them in getting past what is holding them back from true self-acceptance and growth.

I focus on somatic healing with incorporating EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing), IFS (internal family systems), and EFT (emotional focused therapy). I use a relationship approach with my clients to ensure they feel like they are getting a “person” on the other side of the room.
